The Bible says, "Now abideth faith, hope and love and the greatest of these is love." Love means giving of yourself to help others. Every good and beautiful thing in the Universe has its foundation in love - even medical research, science and social welfare have their roots in loving care and service to others. We come into the world to give of ourselves - not to see how much we can take from the Universe, but how much we can give. Many people believe if they were rich they would be secure and happy. These people have not found the spiritual law of love. Too many things and too much abundance does not give you peace of mind and happiness. Once our needs are met, it is better to give away the excess. The happy life is a balanced life. Couples who are dating and contemplating marriage should remember that there is a big difference in loving and being sexually attracted to one another. If each of you is willing to do without to meet the needs of the other - you love that person. Look at mothers. Mothers often make huge sacrifices for their children. Remember love shows itself through your actions. Valentine's Day is just around the corner. It's a great opportunity to show love to someone you care about. It's not just about candy and flowers. Make your declaration of love in the form of action. Do something loving - a late evening candlelit supper, a back or foot rub, a love poem. But, on second thought, a rose and a chocolate on the pillow isn't a bad idea either . . . . Wishing all of you spiritual growth, compassion and most of all love, Allene
